The Vinhais Biological Park (PBV) is a public facility, installed by the Municipality of Vinhais in the Prada Forest Nursery. Included in the Serra da Coroa Forest Perimeter, the park is just 3km from the centre of Vinhais and sits in the heart of the Montesinho Natural Park. The vegetation in the surrounding area is dominated by oak woods, present in a large part of the territory. The very particular and complex nature of the geology of the Park's implantation area also determines a very characteristic flora and vegetation, where some endemism appears.
