Here you will find a record of the carnival tradition and the Caretos of the village of Podence, represented in the paintings of the painters Graça Morais and Balbina Mendes and in the photographs of António Pinto and Francisco Salgueiro. The costumes, rattles, masks and all the clothing of these seductive and enigmatic figures are on display, as well as the only beings that the Caretos respect in their tumults, shouts and rattles on Carnival Sunday and Tuesday, the marafonas.
