The construction of the Mother Church (National Monument) started in the first half of the 16th century extending until the first years of the following century. On the main façade there is a salient tower that conveys a strong sense of elegance to the building, and the beautiful Renaissance-style portico. Laterally, it has two protruding bodies: the sacristy, to the north; and a porch next to the south portico. Also noteworthy is a beautiful set of sculptures, namely, the angels that crown the top of the church, on the main altar, as well as the gargoyles that are at the level of the cornice.
