Niche probably built in the 17th or 18th century, inspired by classical temples, constituting an example of great rarity in the country, with great compositional rigour and exemplary construction in granite masonry. It has a circular plan and is composed of a base with several steps, on which six parallelepiped plinths with Solomonic columns, with Ionic capitals, superimposed by an entablature and finished in a balustrade frieze, covering the start of the domed roof that, inside, housed the central image of São Gonçalo.
