The manor house of the Counts of Vinhais is located on the old street of the village. It is an elegant manor house with neoclassical finishes typical of buildings from the first half of the 19th century, with the chapel of São Caetano attached.
It belonged to the Costa e Pessoa family, counts of this village. Simão da Costa Pessoa was a general and was the 1st Count of Vinhais.
Currently, this space has a library, internet space, chapel, theatre, and cafeteria, offering a varied cultural agenda and various temporary exhibitions. In the Sala Pintada – Jorge Lima Barreto, a permanent collection of paintings by António Palolo allows you to discover some of the works of this important contemporary Portuguese artist.
